Q&A SECTION

Q: Will I get credit in this film?
A: Absolutely! The selected winner will be fully credited in the film as "Screenplay By" and I will personally ship 4 copies of the film to you.

Q: If I add a title page or a shortened synopsis to my script for the entry it totals more then 7 pages, will that be an issue?
A: A title page will NOT count towards your script's page count so feel free to add it as well as any logline and synopsis that you may have drafted.

Q: There are a number of lines of dialog in the story, are they required to be in the script?
A: No, feel free to write your own dialogue for your script and/or include any scenes you see fit.

Q: The story is really long, do you expect to have the whole thing squeezed into a 7 page script?
A: No, To clear things up a bit, the story is a long one and impossible to fit into a 7 page script. Trust me, We know. The point of the contest is to open a platform for a writer to read a story and birth a script out of the story. Similar to hearing a story during a conversation and taking a piece of that story and writing a script out of it. We don't expect the whole story to be scripted out but we would love to see what part(s) some run with and how the interpret a story out of it. It should be fun.

Q: The spy theme seems to be escaping me, is this whole spy theme necessary?
A: Yes, absolutely. Any script sent in for the contest that doesn't fit this criteria will be excluded from the contest. We'll still read it as we're always looking for good writers and good material to work with but it will not be considered for this contest.

Q: Is there going to be an extended deadline?
A: The deadline MIGHT be extended. We'll have a final decision on that by mid next week.

Q: I checked on the site for the story on the release date but couldn't find it, why?
A: The story was released @ 7pm, sorry for the delay.

Q: Can I call and speak with someone about the contest?
A: We had over 2,100 hits on the contest page during the first two days that it was released and have answered more emails then I imagined would come in so, I think it's best to stick with emails for now.

Q: Can I continue to write this into a longer short of even a feature?
A: Absolutely yes! We're only reviewing submissions that are seven or less pages for the contest but we're still reading everything that comes in. We're still on a vicious hunt to find a feature lenght script that we fall in love with to film this year.
